Thank you for visiting our internet site and welcome to the 2019 bowling season - our Centenary season!
We are a crown green bowling club based in Stocksbridge, Sheffield.
The Club has been in existence for over 90 years and prides itself on being a really friendly
club - open to all, expert or novice, for competition or leisure bowling.
Our bowling green is behind the Friendship public house on the main Manchester Road in the
middle of Stocksbridge, from which we take our name. The green has received many plaudits for
its superb condition and beautifully kept surrounding flower and shrub borders - all of which
are maintained by dedicated volunteers.
The green is open 7 days a week from late March till October, the only restrictions
being when competition matches are being played or the green is being maintained.
The Club has teams in a number of local leagues, including the Sheffield Parks, Sheffield & District, the Sheffield & Hallamshire and the Dearne and Don and we are always on the look out for new team
members.

and you'll be pleased to note that our membership subscription rates are some of the lowest
in the area.
